I hope everyone had a safe and pleasant holiday break and that you share my excitement for the start of the spring semester and the beginning of a new year.

Florida Atlantic University condemns all forms of violence, discrimination and hatred. What happened today in our nation’s capital was not democratic.

As we prepare for the start of the spring semester, I wanted to share today’s “21 for Spring 2021” message, which covers topics related to FAU’s continued health and safety efforts.

During every holiday season, I pause to reflect on the year, and while 2020 was incredibly challenging, we had much to celebrate at FAU.

Today we will begin celebrating the graduation of the largest fall class in FAU history with virtual ceremonies, student and faculty videos, a social media feed and more.

For Q1 2020-2021, FAU saw a 92 percent increase in sponsored research funding compared to this same timeframe last year, breaking all previous records.
