Academic Scholarships

Students admitted to the Wilkes Honors College may be awarded merit-based scholarships upon review of the application materials. Incoming first year students must confirm their attendance by the May 1st deadline. Scholarship awards are not guaranteed for students who confirm after the deadline. Students admitted by January 15 will be eligible for the highest scholarship awards.

  • Henry Morrison Flagler Scholarship
    • Tuition, room and board not covered by Bright Futures. FL Resident. Flagler Scholars commit to 4 full years at the Honors College.
    • Living on campus is required for all 4 years.
    • Up to $7,500/semester
    • Four summer enrichment programs
    • Worth over $72,000 over 4 years
  • Florida National Merit Finalists
    • Tuition, room and board not covered by Bright Futures and other grants.
  • Honors Scholarship
    • Admission to the Honors College

Need-based Financial Aid

The Wilkes Honors College can assist students in receiving financial aid based on need. For further information about need-based aid contact Financial Aid, Jupiter Campus at 561-297-3530. In addition to awarding academic scholarships based on merit, the Wilkes Honors College can assist students in receiving additional funds based on need.

FAU 100 Scholarship/Honors College Scholarship 4.00 GPA & 1410 SAT / 32 ACT / 101 CLT $24,000 ($6,000/yr for 4 years)*
Honors College Scholarship 3.90 GPA & 1340 SAT / 29 ACT / 96 CLT $14,000 ($3,500/yr for 4 years)
Honors College Scholarship 3.85 GPA & 1270 SAT / 27 ACT / 90 CLT $12,000 ($3,000/yr for 4 years)
Benaquisto Scholarship Receive designation as a National Merit Finalist by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and name FAU as your first-choice school By May 1. Full cost of attendance is covered including grants or scholarships for Fall & Spring semesters up to 4 years or 8 semesters, or until undergraduate degree is awarded.
Non-FL Resident (must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident) Criteria Scholarship
Honors College Scholarship/Hoot Scholarship 4.00 GPA & 1410 SAT / 32 ACT / 101 CLT $40,000 ($10,000/yr for 4 years)
Honors College Scholarship/Hoot Scholarship 3.90 GPA & 1340 SAT / 29 ACT / 96 CLT $32,000 ($8,000/yr for 4 years)
Honors College Scholarship 3.85 GPA & 1270 SAT / 27 ACT / 90 CLT $4000 ($1,000/yr for 4 years)
State University System of Florida Grandparent Waiver 3.50 GPA & 1330 SAT / 31 ACT AND have a Grandparent who is a Florida resident defined by FL Statute 1009.21. Residency process must be complete in order to be verified and offered. Out of state tuition & fees waived up to 4 years, or when the undergraduate degree is awarded. Student will be billed Florida resident rate of tuition & fees. 25 Waivers available for new first-year students.
