OVERVIEW OF THE TRAINING:

Active shooter situations have become more common, in public places and at work premises. This course will help you prepare to respond to an active shooter situation. You'll learn about typical characteristics of active shooter incidents, ways you can prepare now, and expert recommendations on how best to react when an attack is in progress. You'll also learn what to expect and how to react when law enforcement arrives.

We also highly encourage employees to take the Active Shooter training offered (live or virtually) by the PD and EM when available.  

Course time:  16 minutes

Instructions:

1. Request access to the course through the OIT EH&S Training Ticket link.
2. Request course "Active Shooter 2.0" in the additional details dialogue box.
3. Expect up to 2 days for access.
4. Take the course.
