FAU SHS provides a welcoming environment for students of all gender identities, gender expressions, and sexual orientations. Our staff are trained to identify risk-factors and treat health concerns that may impact members of the LGBTQ+ community. Many of our staff have been Safe Zone trained and are connected to FAU’s Owls Ally Network. Owl Allies are faculty and staff who are informed about and supportive of LGBTQ+ concerns, respectful of confidentiality, and committed to fostering an inclusive campus climate.
