Welcome to the New Academic Year!

Welcome back for the fall semester, Owls! I hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready to begin a new and exciting academic year at FAU.

For students attending classes for the first time this week, we have many systems in place to help you succeed. Around campus, look for faculty and staff wearing “Need Help? Just Ask” lanyards who can assist you with any questions. Additional information can be found on the MyFAU app , where you can conveniently access campus maps, your university email, Canvas and more.

Although I will be stepping down from my role as president in December, I am excited to make the most of the coming months with you. Being part of the FAU community for the past eight-plus years has been an absolute pleasure and I thank you for contributing to the university’s success. We have much to look forward to as we embrace another year of Learning in Paradise, and I encourage you to stop and say “hello” when you see me around campus.
