Welcome to the Spring Semester!

Welcome back, Owls! I hope everyone enjoyed the winter break and is ready to begin the year with renewed energy.

As we enter the spring semester, Florida Atlantic has much to look forward to, including several annual events. These include the Alan B. and Charna Larkin Symposium on the American Presidency, FAU Day at the Capitol, Honors Convocation, Employee Service Awards, and the Hall of Fame and Distinguished Alumni Ceremony.

The spring season of Owl athletics offers even more excitement for our community. The FAU men’s basketball team continues its season this week at Tulane and will play its next home game against UAB on Jan. 14. The women’s basketball team also has two home games this week on Jan. 10 versus UTSA and Jan. 13 against Tulsa. Additionally, FAU softball and baseball seasons begin Feb. 8 and Feb. 16, respectively. I hope to see everyone cheering our student-athletes to victory throughout the semester.
