Welcome, New Owls!

This is an exciting week at Florida Atlantic, as we welcome a new class of Owls with several University traditions. Starting today, first-year students on our Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses will move in to their residence halls. Transfer and returning students will join us on both campuses starting Thursday.

On Friday, August 19, I look forward to welcoming all our first-year students during Freshman Convocation. This important rite of passage marks the onset of a student’s college career and their entrance into the FAU community.

Another special tradition on the Boca Raton, Jupiter and Broward campuses is FAU’s Red and Blue Weeks, a series of events taking place from August 18 to September 2. I hope that all our incoming Owls get the chance to participate in these memorable events that will kick off an unforgettable student experience.

As a reminder, if any students need assistance in the coming weeks, University staff members wearing “Need Help? Just Ask” badges will be happy to show you the way.
