Happy Thanksgiving, Owls!

With Thanksgiving around the corner, I want to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to the Florida Atlantic community.

In the past year, the University has continued to make enormous strides in key areas such as academics, research and athletics. This was recently affirmed by Florida Atlantic’s impressive rise in the national rankings, earning the No. 103 spot among the best public schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. Additional achievements include new records for graduates and freshman applications, receiving the 2024 ACE/Fidelity Investments Award for Institutional Transformation from the American Council on Education, and the men’s basketball team’s back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

These accomplishments and more are a direct result of our community’s extraordinary dedication to excellence and unwavering commitment to student success. I am deeply grateful to our talented students, faculty and staff for their continued work in elevating the University to new heights. I also am thankful for our many friends and supporters whose ongoing involvement has a positive impact on our community.

As a reminder, Florida Atlantic will be closed from Wednesday, Nov. 27 to Friday, Nov. 29 to enjoy the holiday. During the break, I hope everyone has a chance to reflect on our incredible achievements while looking forward to even more success on the horizon.
