Florida Atlantic Softball Earns Top 25 Ranking
Tuesday, Mar 26, 2024
Congratulations to the Florida Atlantic softball team for earning a national ranking! The Owls are ranked No. 25 in the Softball America Top 25 Poll. This is the first time since 2016 that the team has been nationally ranked.
The softball team has a 27-7 overall record this season, following back-to-back American Athletic Conference sweeps against UAB and Memphis. The Owls are currently tied for first place in the conference.
Pitchers Trinity Schlotterbeck and Gabby Sacco have each registered five complete games so far this season. Schlotterbeck leads the conference with a 12-2 record. Additionally, shortstop Kiley Channell is ranked No. 2 in the nation and No. 1 in the conference in doubles. Schlotterbeck and Channell also were named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll.
The Owls face Stetson on the road tonight and return home on Thursday to host conference rival East Carolina for a three-game series at FAU Softball Stadium. For more information, including the team’s full schedule, visit
