Observing Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Monday, January 16, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. In observance of this federal holiday, Florida Atlantic University will be closed.

For those interested in service opportunities, FAU is hosting several volunteer activities in honor of Dr. King’s legacy. Saturday, January 14, is the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Owls will work with the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County to package school supply items in Riviera Beach. Additionally, the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Book Drive, to benefit K-12 students, is taking place now through January 20 at the Boca Raton Student Union.
