Happy 2023!

Happy New Year, and welcome back to our faculty and staff! I hope everyone had an enjoyable winter break and that you’re ready for another exciting semester.

As I begin this year as interim president, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for the university’s support during this transitional period. With great respect for our community, I am honored to lead the charge as Florida Atlantic continues to advance as one of the best public universities in the nation.

Thanks to everyone’s hard work last year, Florida Atlantic had many successes to celebrate in 2022 — from reaching No. 132 in the U.S. News & World Report rankings to receiving the prestigious Degree Completion Award from the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities.

In 2023, we anticipate another incredible year of high achievement with the Transcend Tomorrow campaign, the public opening of the Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute, our debut in the American Athletic Conference, and much more.

I look forward to working together as we strive to reach all new heights for the future of FAU.
