FAU Named Fulbright HSI Leader

I am delighted to share that Florida Atlantic has been named a Fulbright Hispanic-Serving Institution Leader for 2023. This year, the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs recognized 46 HSIs of distinction for demonstrating strong engagement with the Fulbright Program, which is the U.S. government’s flagship international exchange program.

As an HSI Leader, Florida Atlantic is committed to providing outstanding support of Fulbright exchange participants through opportunities on campus and abroad. Since 2019, 13 students and 12 faculty members from FAU have participated in the Fulbright Program, studying and teaching at institutions around the world. Florida Atlantic also proudly hosts international Fulbright scholars, including three students currently conducting research in the College of Business and two faculty representatives now visiting from Kyrgyzstan and Romania.

By and large, the Fulbright Program has a profound impact on the University community’s research and experiences, enabling multidisciplinary work on a global scale. Florida Atlantic is proud to be involved with this prestigious exchange program and honored to be recognized as a Fulbright Hispanic-Serving Institution Leader for 2023.
