FAU Day at the Capitol

Florida Atlantic alumni, students, faculty and friends had the honor of joining state lawmakers this week in celebration of FAU Day at the Capitol. I was proud to help lead the delegation as we represented the Owl community in Tallahassee. During the visit, we connected with state officials, shared the University’s successes and increased awareness about our legislative priorities.

Florida Atlantic also hosted a reception for alumni in the Tallahassee area. We were thrilled to welcome esteemed alumni and local legislators Jervonte Edmonds, Lisa Dunkley and Chip LaMarca. With the vocal support of Owls across Florida, we are making great strides to increase opportunities for students and improve the University’s reputation on state and national levels.

I appreciate everyone in the Owl community who joined us for FAU Day at the Capitol. Florida Atlantic’s achievements are amplified through its collective support. We look forward to a productive legislative session as we continue to pursue excellence throughout the University.
