FAU Day at the Capitol

This week, I had the pleasure of joining Florida Atlantic’s delegation of students, faculty and staff for “FAU Day” at the Capitol. As part of the university’s commitment to maintain strong connections between elected officials and the Owl community, FAU has developed a consistent presence in Tallahassee that is celebrated each year with this meaningful event. During the trip, we focused on engaging lawmakers, sharing the university’s successes and increasing awareness about our legislative priorities.

We also hosted a reception for our Tallahassee-area alumni. At the event, we heard from several esteemed alumni, including Florida state representatives Jervonte Edmonds and Michael Giallombardo. With the vocal support of Owls across the state, FAU is making great strides to increase opportunities for students and improve our reputation on the national stage.
