Fall 2020 Return-to-Campus #11 – Weeks of Welcome
Tuesday, Aug 25, 2020
Weeks of Welcome (WOW) has taken place at Florida Atlantic University for many years. Students who have experienced Weeks of Welcome in their first year at FAU have felt more connected to the University and met lifelong friends. This fall, the majority of WOW events are taking place virtually.
Events are intended to connect students, as well as to help them become familiar with campus and get acquainted with the many resources available. FAU wants to prepare students for a successful academic and social experience. Additionally, there are many activities in which returning students can participate.
To view a list of WOW events, visit www.fau.edu/student/hereforyou . For more information, email involvement@fau.edu or follow @faustudents on Instagram.
If you attend an event in person, remember that it’s everyone’s responsibility to Protect Your Owl Family . Face coverings are now required at all times when on FAU campuses, both inside and outside buildings. FAU’s safety triad of face coverings, physical distancing, and hand and surface sanitization will help prevent the further spread of COVID-19 on campuses and within the local communities. Details are available in the University’s Health and Safety plan. Those in violation of the FAU’s health and safety policies are subject to disciplinary action.
Remember to visit the dedicated COVID-19 website as it is the best source of FAU-specific information. The Guidance and Services page features an “A-Z” listing of items from around the University. New information is added to the pages as we confirm changes in our operations.
General questions related to the COVID-19 situation should be directed to FAUCOVID19@fau.edu . All feedback will be shared with applicable departments across the FAU campuses to ensure adjustments, as necessary.
