Show Your Owl Pride on College Colors Day

Thursday, Aug 29, 2024

Friday, Aug. 30 is College Colors Day, a nationwide celebration to kick off the academic year and usher in a new season of intercollegiate athletics. I encourage everyone in the Florida Atlantic family to show your Owl pride by wearing our school colors, red and blue.

On Friday, Florida Atlantic will host College Colors Day Celebrations from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Boca Raton campus and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Jupiter campus. Students, faculty, staff and alumni are welcome to attend these spirited events and enjoy free food, live music, giveaways and more.

Also on Friday, the FAU Football team will play its first game of the season at 7 p.m. at Michigan State. I am excited to cheer on the Owls in person as they set another action-packed season into motion. The first home football game will be Saturday, Sept. 7 against the Army Black Knights. I look forward to seeing FAU Stadium filled with red and blue to support our Owls.

To gear up for College Colors Day and football season, visit fau.edu/gear or stop by the FAU Campus Store.

Also, as a reminder, Florida Atlantic will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2, in observance of Labor Day. I hope you have a safe and pleasant holiday weekend.

Go Owls!
