It’s Campus Safety Awareness Month

September is Campus Safety Awareness Month, a national effort to promote safety on college campuses. Florida Atlantic is recognizing this important initiative with several events throughout the month to educate and prepare our community on public safety and related issues.

Hosted by the Department of Emergency Management, the Office of Environmental Health and Safety, and the FAU Police Department, members of the University and external community are welcome to attend a range of seminars and training activities that will help ensure the safety and wellbeing of individuals both on campus and in the surrounding areas.

The signature event on the Boca Raton campus, Owl Ready Day, will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Diversity Way. The showcase will feature a variety of sessions from internal and external agencies involved in matters of public safety and emergency/disaster response.
