A.D. Henderson and FAU High School Named Blue Ribbon School

Monday, Sep 23, 2024

Today we received the exciting news that Florida Atlantic’s A.D. Henderson University School (ADHUS) and FAU High School has been named a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. This high honor recognizes primary and secondary schools that excel in academic performance or make significant strides in closing achievement gaps among different student groups.

ADHUS and FAU High is one of 356 schools in the nation to be named a National Blue Ribbon School. This is the second time in 10 years, and third time in school history, that ADHUS and FAU High has been recognized with this national honor. The hallmarks of a National Blue Ribbon School include high standards of teaching excellence, robust professional development, data-driven instructional methods and community collaboration — all geared to foster student success.

A.D. Henderson and FAU High offers challenging, innovative curricula. The early college model at FAU High allows students to graduate from high school while simultaneously earning a bachelor’s degree, making higher education more affordable for families.

This prestigious recognition is a testament to the exceptional educators and opportunities at ADHUS and FAU High. I want to thank Joel Herbst, Ed.D., superintendent of Florida Atlantic Laboratory Schools, as well as the administrators, faculty and staff for their hard work and dedication to excellence. Congratulations, A.D. Henderson and FAU High School!
