I am pleased to share that Florida Atlantic has moved up in the U.S. News & World Report list of “Top Public Schools,” ranking No. 132 among the best universities in the nation. Climbing eight places from No. 140 last year, FAU recorded the largest jump for any school in Florida’s State University System.

According to U.S. News & World Report, FAU is the No. 1 public university in Florida for campus ethnic diversity, making it the most racially, culturally and ethnically diverse school in the State University System. Additionally, FAU ranked No. 41 on U.S. News & World Report’s “Social Mobility” list, which is based on Pell Grant recipient graduation rates from both public and private universities. At FAU, Pell-eligible, Black/African-American and Hispanic/Latinx students outpace our overall retention and graduation rates, and we’re very proud of that.

In other rankings, FAU rose 27 spots to No. 93 in the U.S. News & World Report list of undergraduate nursing programs. FAU’s undergraduate business programs also moved up 26 places to No. 164.

Florida Atlantic is a top choice public university and we are thrilled to see that reflected in the national rankings. Our commitment to ensure success for all has helped elevate FAU on all fronts, and I am proud to see the hard work of our faculty, staff and students paying off.
