March is Women’s History Month and today marks the 110th annual International Women’s Day. Today, nations around the world celebrate the achievements of women throughout history and reaffirm a commitment to challenge gender inequality.
At FAU, 59 percent of our student body is female. From its earliest days, this university has maintained a commitment to ensuring that all women – regardless of their background – receive the highest quality education to help them succeed in their careers. We’re proud to offer programs like the Women’s Leadership Institute, a daylong conference raise awareness of issues and develop leadership skills; the Women in Executive Leadership program, which helps to build skills to foster advancement into executive roles; and a variety of scholarships to reduce financial burden and help further academic success.
FAU is honoring women all month long with a number of events taking place across our campuses, including speakers, movie events, discussions, and more.
