She brings to the team more than a decade of economic development experience in Florida, Texas and Washington at the local, regional and state levels.
Ambrose has worked in marketing and business development leadership roles for Enterprise Florida and the Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce and was named among Consultant Connect’s 2018 Top 50 Economic Developers in North America. “Sherry’s experience in economic development will be an asset to the Authority as we continue to work with innovative companies developing new technologies to commercialize in South Florida, and recruit companies from overseas to add to our economy,” said Bob Swindell, chairman of the Research Park at FAU’s governing special district.
Ambrose received a Master of Public Administration from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Rollins College. A South Florida native, she resides in Tequesta with her husband and two children.
“I’m honored to join the Research Park at FAU's governing Authority as we continue fostering economic development and advancing entrepreneurship in Palm Beach County,” said Ambrose. “FPL is a longstanding partner of the university and the FAU Tech Runway® at Research Park at FAU, and we have seen first-hand the impact it has on fostering a culture of innovation that helps startups bring their visions to life and move South Florida and the state forward.”
