FAU Celebrates Summer 2024 Graduates

Florida Atlantic University conferred 1,950 degrees over the course of four in-person commencement ceremonies in the Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium, FAU Student Union, Boca Raton campus. The summer graduates joined more than 208,000 alumni who have graduated from FAU since the University opened its doors in 1964.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the accomplishments of our summer graduates,” said FAU President Stacy Volnick. “Their hard work and commitment to excellence is source of pride for us all. As they join the ranks of Florida Atlantic alumni, we look forward to the innovation and leadership they will bring to their professions and communities.”

Highlights of the 2024 summer commencement include:

  • 38 degree recipients are over the age of 50, and six over the age of 60
  • The oldest graduate is 86 and the youngest is 18
  • Of the 1,950 graduates, 514 are first-generation students, 59 graduated with a 4.0 GPA, and 32 countries were represented
