Florida Gov. Rick Scott recently presented Florida Atlantic University with the Governor’s Higher Education Leadership Award for Most Improved University in Performance Funding.
FAU President John Kelly and FAU Board of Trustees Chair Anthony Barber accepted the award on behalf of the University at the Degrees to Jobs Summit in Orlando.
“FAU’s ranking in the state’s performance funding model is a result of our goal to become America’s fastest-improving university,” said FAU President John Kelly. “It is an honor to receive this award from the Governor.”
The Summit brought together top state officials, business executives and higher education leaders for a two-day discussion on how to fuel Florida’s economic growth.
