What Matters to Student Success
The College of Education, Division of Student Affairs and Office of the Provost presented What Matters to Student Success at the College of Education Dean’s Symposium on FAU Boca Raton campus. Welcome and introductions by Dean Valerie J. Bristor and Provost Gary Perry were followed by keynote speaker George Kuh’s presentation. Following were two panel discussions, one with FAU students and one with FAU faculty. Video links to Kuh’s presentation are on the College of Education website at www.coe.fau.edu. George Kuh is Adjunct Research Professor of Education Policy at the University of Illinois and Chancellor's Professor of Higher Education Emeritus at Indiana University. He is a renowned prolific writer and presenter on topics related to institutional improvement, college student engagement, assessment strategies and campus cultures. The Chronicle of Higher Education described George as a "towering figure" who "really launched the field of assessment of institutional quality."
