The
South Florida Storytelling Project The South Florida Storytelling Project (SFSP) at Florida Atlantic University is dedicated to advancing the knowledge, appreciation and application of storytelling through classes, workshops, publications, community and university outreach, networking and other initiatives. The program includes storytelling classes, a resource center, six annual public storytelling programs throughout the university system, service learning and other outreach within and outside the university, and a bi-annual journal, Storytelling, Self, Society: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Storytelling Studies. We also sponsor the Storytelling Club at FAU. In addition, a graduate certificate progrogram is in development. SFSP is affiliated with the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts & Letters and is a program of the School of the Arts. It is directed by Caren S. Neile, MFA, Ph.D., Artist-in-Residence in the Department of Communication.
