Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution


The Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution at Florida Atlantic University provides fair and equitable administrative due process for all students. These processes are infused with educational and developmental opportunities designed to promote understanding of the Student Code of Conduct (Regulation 4.007). The Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution also endorses a university community that recognizes the humanity and need of civility for all.

The Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution aims to:

  • Ensure a consistent, fair, and impartial conduct process that helps build students’ decision-making skills and promotes behavioral changes to assist in their success at FAU.
  • Partner with students to design experiences that strengthen interpersonal skill sets that maximize their readiness for the professional and global world.
  • Offer service to the university community to further the understanding of the Student Code of Conduct and various conflict resolution techniques.

Individuals involved with the student conduct process will be able to:

  • Identify university resources that are available to partner in student success.
  • Articulate an understanding of student’s rights within the process, and the behavioral expectations outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.
  • Apply knowledge gained from educational and/or restorative interventions and experiences.

Student Conduct-related Regulations and Policies




Please be advised that violations of Florida Atlantic University’s Student Code of Conduct, Regulation 4.007 Sections (5)(s) and (ee), include violations of Florida Statute 553.865, Safety and Private Spaces Act, and will be processed according to the student conduct process in outlined in Regulation 4.007.
