Bak Middle School of the Arts Foundation
The Middle School of the Arts Foundation’s is a 501c3 organization whose mission is to develop permanent resources to ensure world-class standards of excellence in arts and academics at Bak Middle School of the Arts, which serves all of Palm Beach County, regardless of socio-economic status. The Foundation’s purpose is to identify and secure resources to meet needs beyond those that can be funded by the Palm Beach County School District.
In keeping with the district’s magnet goals, the Foundation provides funding and volunteer support for Bak’s efforts to promote and expand diversity, improve achievement and focus on a unique arts curriculum. Bak MSOA serves over 1,370 students a year from across Palm Beach County, 25% of which qualify for free lunch, and nearly 50% of which are minorities. Geographically, the school is located within the lowest socio-economic zip code of West Palm Beach and is ranked as the third highest academically achieving Middle School in the state of Florida.
