More than 2,650 students became alumni this week as we celebrated fall commencement during five ceremonies. They join more than 170,000 Owls who have graduated from FAU since 1965.
Our fall graduates range in age from 17 to 71, represent 39 countries, and include several FAU High School alumni who received their bachelor’s degrees just seven months after graduating from high school! First-generation college graduates make up more than one-third of the class.
I had the great pleasure of presenting the President’s Distinguished Service Medallion to FAU alumna Carly Asher
Yoost ’09, CEO and co-founder of Child Rescue Coalition. Headquartered in Boca Raton, Child Rescue Coalition is a nonprofit organization that builds technology to help law enforcement track, arrest, and prosecute child predators. The company was part of FAU Tech Runway’s Venture Class 3 in 2015.
All five ceremonies were webcast and are available to view and download by clicking here.
Congratulations to the Class of 2019! Go Owls!
