This weekend, FAU Football won its second Conference USA championship in three years! The Owls defeated the University of Alabama at Birmingham 49-6, the largest margin of victory in C-USA title game history. I am very proud of the team, which ended the regular season 9-3 overall, and 7-1 in conference play.

I applaud our coaching staff and players for their efforts all season long. I’d especially like to congratulate tight end Harrison Bryant, who recently was named to the C-USA All-Academic Team, and cornerback Meiko Dotson, who led the nation in interceptions. Additionally, the team is ranked No. 1 nationally in turnover margin.

This also is the second time since 2017 that the team is bowl eligible. Our bowl game will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 8.
