Today marks the last day of classes for the fall semester and the start of Thanksgiving break. I’m sure that like me, our students, faculty and staff appreciate having a few days off to reflect on all we have to be thankful for and prepare for the upcoming holiday season.
Carolyn, the girls, and I are so thankful to be part of this wonderful community which welcomed us with open arms nearly six years ago. We’re especially proud that the Boca Raton Historical Society recently recognized FAU with a star on the Walk of Recognition, and that for the first time in history, FAU was named one of the top public schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. This university is on the rise and we look forward to an exciting future.
I also want to remind everyone that the last football game of the regular season is on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 3:30 p.m. at FAU Stadium. The Owls will host Southern Mississippi in our most important game of the season. If FAU wins, we will clinch the Conference USA East Division Title and the opportunity to host the C-USA Championship game here in Boca Raton next weekend. Please come out and help cheer the team on to another victory. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.
Best wishes for a wonderful holiday break. Happy Thanksgiving, Owls!
