Once again, Owl Nation is grateful to one of its most loyal friends, Eleanor Baldwin, as she makes another transformational gift to FAU. Her newest act of generosity was announced at halftime during Saturday’s football game: $1 million to name the History and Tradition Hall in the Schmidt Family Complex for Academic and Athletic Excellence. Her gift brings this unique facility a giant step closer to the day when its doors will open to serve all FAU students.
A retired teacher who is dedicated to public education, Elly has also made naming gifts to the president’s residence on the Boca campus and the president’s suite in FAU Stadium, and she helped bring our football program into existence by being one of its earliest donors. She also has supported the College of Education by establishing an endowed scholarship fund, serving on the advisory board and mentoring student teachers.
Sincere thanks to Elly Baldwin, a true blue friend of FAU!
