I am thrilled to share that today, FAU received the ATHENA Organizational Leadership Award from the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches. The ATHENA Awards recognize members of the community for their role in helping women achieve their full potential.
Since 1964, FAU has proudly served the South Florida community by providing the education and skills necessary for all students to succeed in the workforce. We’ve made it a top priority to assist women on their journeys toward professional excellence, and we continue to add programs and services to support that mission.
FAU also is blessed with a staff full of remarkable women whose legacies have guided the university’s growth and helped to build its reputation for excellence. They are as diverse as our student body, and they each help to foster the culture of inclusion that we are so proud of at FAU. Their accomplishments inspire our students – both male and female – to pursue their goals with Unbridled Ambition® every day.
Congratulations to West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio and FAU alumna Amyleigh Atwater ’09, who also received ATHENA Awards. Amyleigh is Director of Advancement at Place of Hope, and the daughter of FAU’s Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Chief Financial Officer, Jeff Atwater.
Thank you to the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches for this honor, and for supporting the advancement of women in our community.
