Yesterday FAU shared the much-anticipated news that we’ve appointed a new vice president for the Division of Institutional Advancement. Danita Nias, one of the country’s most successful fundraisers, will begin her new role at FAU in October. She will lead all fundraising efforts, including donor and alumni relations, and spearhead a capital campaign.
In the past two decades, Danita helped the University of Florida and the University of Maryland raise millions of dollars. Most recently, she served as senior associate vice president for external affairs at the University of Florida. Danita holds a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in personnel and labor relations from the University of Maryland and a Master of Social Science with a concentration in international relations from Syracuse University.
I am extremely excited to welcome Danita to FAU. She has a proven track record of success, and we are delighted to have her bring such a wealth of experience to FAU.
