Universities around the country will celebrate College Colors Day on Friday, Aug. 29, and this year a lot of exciting things will be happening here at FAU. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to wear their FAU gear throughout the day and take part in as many activities as possible. For full information, click here.
The fun will begin at 11:30 a.m. in Traditions Plaza in front of the bookstore on the Boca campus. There will be free food including Coca-Cola brands sampling, live music, a special performance by the FAU Marching Owls and Spirit Squad, and half-price deals at the bookstore. As an added attraction, Coach Schnellenberger will be on hand to autograph his newly released autobiography, Passing the Torch.
This will be a great day for taking “selfies” and posting them on FAU’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram sites with #FAU and #CollegeColors to compete for great prizes.
This year, we’re going for the College Colors Day Spirit Cup, which offers prizes that include a $10,000 donation to our general scholarship fund and a chance for someone to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the College Football National Championship Game. To learn how to earn points, go to CollegeColorsDay.com.
So let your Owl spirit shine on Friday, Aug. 29, and let’s win that Spirit Cup!
Go Owls!
