On Monday, Aug. 1, Dr. Ellen S. Goldey joins the FAU family as dean of the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College. Dean Goldey spent the last 20 years at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was the William R. Kenan Jr. Professor in Biology and previously served as chair of the Department of Biology for five years.

Prior to her time at Wofford College, Dean Goldey was a toxicologist for the Environmental Protection Agency. She earned doctoral and master’s degrees from Miami University in Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree from Sewanee: The University of the South.

I am delighted to welcome Dean Goldey to FAU and look forward to her leadership of the Honors College and work with the University’s Jupiter Life Sciences Initiative.
