FAU teams are now forming for the Palm Beach Heart Walk, which for many years has attracted the enthusiastic participation of our students, faculty and staff. This year’s organizational effort will get under way at a kick-off event on Monday, July 21, at 3 p.m. in the Majestic Palm Room of the Student Union. A representative of the American Heart Association will be on hand to let you know how you can get involved, and there will be presentations by Dr. Charles Hennekens of the College of Medicine, a world-renowned heart researcher, and Kyle Bryan of the College of Nursing, a two-time heart surgery survivor. There will be refreshments and some really nice door prizes.

The Heart Walk will take place in downtown West Palm Beach on Saturday, Sept. 27. Between now and then, the American Heart Association will make team-building fun by holding drawings for prizes like Apple iPod minis for participants.
