FAU is committed to student success and to bettering our local communities, and two new degree programs offered by the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science support those objectives. Beginning this fall, the College will offer a Bachelor of Arts degree in health sciences and a Master of Science degree in marine science and oceanography.
The bachelor’s degree in health sciences is designed for students interested in pursuing careers in healthcare. It will broaden students’ understanding of the healthcare system and prepare them for graduate school or careers in fields such as public health, pharmaceutical sales and physical therapy.
The master’s degree in marine science and oceanography supports our commitment to Ocean Science and Engineering/Environmental Sciences. The program will give students the opportunity to work alongside world-class researchers and engineers at FAU’s Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute in Fort Pierce and prepare them for careers in research, education, government, private-sector consulting and nonprofit organizations.
I look forward to the wonderful impact the graduates of these programs will have on our local and global communities. For more information, visit www.science.fau.edu.
