Congratulations to the FAU softball team on clinching the Conference USA East Division title, and to junior Kylee Hanson on being named Conference USA Pitcher of the Week for the fifth time this season! The Owls are now ranked no. 24 in the USA Softball poll and no. 23 in the NFCA poll.

The Owls clinched the title on Sunday with a 6-0 victory at Charlotte. Highlights of the game include a school record eight stolen bases and Kylee Hanson throwing her 12th complete shutout, allowing only six hits, to pick up her 22nd win of the season. This impressive young lady leads the nation in shutouts and is second in the nation with a 0.66 ERA.

I hope you can come out this weekend to cheer on the Owls at their final home series. The first game starts at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 30. Before the game, Celebration of Boca, a free festival the whole family can enjoy, will begin at 1 p.m. at the softball stadium.
