Friday was a great day for FAU, as we shared the exciting news that Dusty May will lead the men’s basketball team into a new era of success as head coach. Dusty comes to us from the University of Florida, where he helped the Gators earn a 69-37 record, including back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. Previously, he was an assistant coach at Louisiana Tech, where he helped the Bulldogs win three straight conference championships in 2013, 2014 and 2015. As a full-time assistant, his teams have a .623 winning percentage.

Our new Director of Athletics Brian White clearly hit the ground running and made a great choice in Dusty, who was selected from a large pool of candidates for his integrity as well as his track record. We believe Dusty will create a winning culture in our basketball program and follow Brian’s philosophy of “win it right.”

Welcome again to Dusty, his wife, Anna, and their three sons, Jack, Charlie and Eli.
