Today, the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine Class of 2017 celebrated one of the most exciting events of the year: Match Day. During this annual rite of passage, medical students find out where they will spend the next few years of medical training as residents.
The 61 students will be heading to top institutions such as Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School; Mount Sinai, Icahn School College of Medicine; Emory University School of Medicine; Cleveland Medical Center, Case Western Reserve University Hospitals; Duke University School of Medicine; Naval Medical Center; Barnes-Jewish Hospital; and New York University School of Medicine. More than one-third of the class will remain in Florida for their residencies.
Congratulations to the Class of 2017 on reaching this milestone, and on their upcoming graduation. We are very proud of their many academic accomplishments.
