BOCA RATON, FL (October 10, 2011) – The Florida Atlantic University National Alumni Association (FAUNAA) recently announced plans to host Party fOWL, an indoor and outdoor tailgate party, before every home football game. Party fOWL will be held at the Marleen and Harold Forkas Alumni Center, located directly across from FAU’s new stadium on the Boca Raton campus.

Party fOWL will feature tailgate fare and cold drinks available for purchase; music and entertainment; NCAA football games broadcast on big screen TVs; cool, clean and comfortable facilities; and a family-friendly environment. Doors open three hours before kickoff. Alumni association members are admitted free of charge, and guests may purchase a FAUNAA membership at the door. Admission is $20 for non-members, $10 for children 12 and under, and free for children under age 2.

“We’re extremely excited about the inaugural season of Party fOWL, which promises to be FAU’s biggest and best tailgate party,” said Brad Crews, assistant vice president for alumni relations at FAU. “I would like to invite all Owl fans to join us before every home game at the Marleen and Harold Forkas Alumni Center. Also, I encourage FAU alumni, as well as friends of FAU, to join the alumni association and enjoy free admission to Party fOWL all season long.”

FAU will play five games in the new on-campus stadium during the 2011 football season. The Owls’ inaugural home game is scheduled for Saturday, October 15 at 4 p.m. Festivities begin at 1 p.m. and include a special presentation in the Alumni Plaza by FAU President Mary Jane Saunders.
