Master Chef Jeramie Garlick

Master Chef Jeramie Garlick comes to Florida Atlantic University with over 30 years of experience in kitchens from around the world. His culinary travels have taken him internationally from France, Zaire, Russia, and Singapore, to New York, Washington DC, Miami, and all points in between. Chef Garlick, has personally prepared meals for American Presidents while working in the White House.

 

Having studied at the prestigious L'Ecole d'Escoffier in Lyons, France, and with a long family history in the kitchen, Chef Garlick brings a wealth of culinary experience to FAU. His culinary skills and techniques have been tested by some of the most discerning palates in the world, earning him the title Master Chef, a title shared by few others worldwide that have completed an intensive 8-day test of culinary skills and knowledge.. He is a member of the l'Academie Culinaire de France, and the Craft Guild of Chefs.

 

Beyond his international notoriety, Chef Garlick has spent years expanding the culinary palates of thousands of college students. Previously he has served as District Chef for New York University and Executive Chef at the University of Florida.

Chef Chris Marks

Chef Chris Marks comes to Florida Atlantic University from some of the most venerable eateries in Palm Beach County, including Jupiter’s Frenchman’s Creek Country Club and Palm Beach’s Chuck and Harold’s.

 

Originally from Kent, Ohio, Chris began his culinary career as a dishwasher and line cook where he found a passion for food. Earning a degree from Kent State University in Hospitality Management opened new doors for this inspired chef. Continuing is practical education; Chef Marks honed his skills in the kitchens of Sheraton Hotels.

 

His passion for food, boating, and the beach brought Chris to south Florida in the late 1990s. Beyond his experiences in Jupiter and Palm Beach, Chef Marks has worked in some of the finest hotels in Palm Beach County and spent time as a private chef.
