Sika Dagbovie-Mullins
Sika Dagbovie-Mullins received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. She teaches African American literature, literature of the African Diaspora, and twentieth century American literature. Dagbovie-Mullins is author of Crossing B(l)ack: Mixed Race Identity in Modern American Fiction and Culture (University of Tennessee Press, 2013) and co-editor of a forthcoming collection with Eric Berlatsky, Mixed-Race Superheroes (Rutgers University Press, 2021), which examines representations of racial mixedness and the idea of the superhero. Her articles have appeared in journals such as African American Review, The Journal of Popular Culture, and Palimpsest: A Journal on Women, Gender, and the Black International.
