"Hyland and Fridh are a textbook study in the way a dysfunctional marriage can gnaw away at the soul until there’s nothing left. "
-John Thomason, Boca Magazine
"Fridh’s Brigit is a stunning creation of a pragmatist who has learned that dreams are not just hopeless but a distraction from reality, even possibly soul-crushing in their own right.”
"Stabile’s direction is assured and almost invisible, especially his coordination of Matt Corey’s evocative cityscape sound with Jayson Tomaseski’s workhorse lighting that creates a dozen moods in a dozen different locations on Michael McClain’s unit set.”
-Bill Hirschman, Florida Theatre On Stage

It is July 1977. Son of Sam is on the loose and New York City is in the midst of a brutal heat wave. Mary Claire, 16, and her best friend, Mary Francis, start that day sunning themselves on the roof of an Ozone Park row house. Younger sister, Reenie, is searching for her lost Greek Mythology class project, while their parents are consumed by the battles of their troubled marriage. The boy crazy Marys hatch a plan to stay out all night, but an overstressed electrical grid leads to a city-wide blackout and a sudden loss of innocence.
