Get Ready - it’s FAU GAME DAY! 


Are you ready for FAU to be at home on-campus?

 

IMPORTANT - Student Pre-Ticketing and Tailgating for Football Home Games

Ticketing:

All currently enrolled students are eligible for one (1) free ticket to each home game. Students will be able to log in to the MyFAU portal two (2) weeks prior to each home game.  Click on the "Athletics" tab and follow the instructions. Students must bring their printed ticket AND current Owl Card to the student entrance located at Gate 3 of the stadium on the day of the game. Gate 3 will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Tickets MUST be printed out prior to arriving at the stadium.

 

Tailgating:

Students wanting to tailgate are invited to do so at the "Rat's Mouth" area, located just outside of Gate 3. The "Rat's Mouth" will open on a first come, first serve basis five (5) hours prior to kickoff for drop off and set up, but tailgating is not allowed until four (4) hours before kickoff. 

 

  • Directional signs will direct students to the area on Game Day. Those students dropping off tailgate items must remain with their vehicles at all times while in the unloading area.  After drop off is completed, students can park their vehicles in Lot 2 ($5 for students) until it is full.
  • Students will be allowed to leave their tailgating materials in the "Rat's Mouth" area during the game, but are reminded that the FAU Athletic Department, FAU Police Department and the University itself are not liable for any items damaged or stolen from the "Rat's Mouth" area during the game. All items left by students must be removed one (1) hour following the conclusion of the game and any items left beyond this one (1) hour period will be disposed of and the Athletics Department will not be held responsible for their return/replacement.
  • Please note that no cooking or consumption of alcoholic beverages will be permitted until four hours before kickoff.
  • As it relates to alcohol, no glass bottles are permitted.  In addition, please note that no one under the age of 21 should be in possession of alcohol.  As a reminder, “drinking games” including funnels are not permitted.Please refer to the Alcohol Policy if you have any questions regarding alcohol use at tailgates.  www.fau.edu/policies/1.2_Alcoholic_Beverages.pdf.  
  • Early Bird Incentive: The first 100 students who arrive at the Rat’s Mouth will receive a “Limited Edition” FAU shirt.

Guide to A Successful Rat’s Mouth Tailgate

This guide was developed to assist students and student organizations in the Student Tailgate Area (Rat’s Mouth). Failure to follow any of the Athletic and University policies or procedures will result in a revocation of tailgating privileges. If you have any concerns leading up to or on Game Day, please contact Student Government at 561-297-6776 or Student Union Administrative Offices at 561-297-3730.

Cleaning Up Your Tailgate:   All items left by students must be removed one (1) hour following the conclusion of the game and any items left beyond this one (1) hour period will be disposed of and the Athletics Department will not be held responsible for their return/replacement. You are expected to bring all of your trash and recycling, including charcoal, to appropriately designated receptacles.  

Tents: There is no limitation on the size of personal tents. Tents should be secured from blowing over; however, staking to the ground is not permitted. It is recommended that you utilize sandbags or an alternate weighting method. If a professional tenting company will be utilized, please contact 1-866-FAU-OWLS to arrange for delivery, set-up, break-down and pick-up. There may be limitations to the size of tents assembled by professional tenting companies.

Restroom Facilities:   Port- A- Potties will be made available in the Student Tailgating area.

Power Supplies: Electrical cords plugged into the outlets on University structures are not permitted. Furthermore, generators are not permitted. Any pieces of equipment requiring power should be battery operated. As a reminder, amplified sound is also not permitted.

Other: Please note that nothing may be hung from natural objects (i.e. trees, plants) or physical structures (i.e. lampposts, signposts, etc.).

SHUTTLE FROM TRI-RAIL


This year, FAU will be providing a FREE shuttle from the Boca Raton Tri-Rail Station to the brand new FAU Stadium. There will be two 57-passenger shuttles operating between 2:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. for all home game days. The buses will run approximately every 20 minutes.
