PATHWAYS TO FAU
The FAU Pathway’s program is uniquely designed to support students in achieving a successful start to their college career. Admission into this program will give students an opportunity to enroll at FAU while adjusting to the rigors of college coursework. Students are admitted to Summer or Fall based on their overall academic profile.

Frequently Asked Questions
All Summer Pathways students must take three (3) courses in the Summer. Two courses will be 3 credits each and apply to the General Education (Gen Ed) (formally IFP) or help prepare you for a course in the Gen Ed. The third course will be SLS1410: FAU iSucceed (0 credit hours) which is designed to help with the transition to college.
Academic Success Pathway
Summer: Your Academic Advisor will determine the appropriate courses for you based on your potential incoming credits and intended major.
Important Requirement: Students must earn a 2.0 GPA or better to continue to the Fall.
Fall: Your Academic Advisor will determine the appropriate courses for you based on your potential incoming credits and intended major. Per your Admission requirements, you can take up to 11 credits.
Jump Start Program
Summer: Jump Start students majoring in Business and Architecture are required to take a math course if placed into MAT 1033 (Intermediate Algebra). Your Academic Advisor will determine required coursework (if applicable) and appropriate courses for you based on your potential incoming credits and intended major.
Important Requirement: Students must earn a 2.5 GPA or higher to continue to the Fall as a full-time student. Students earning a 2.0-2.49 may be permitted to enroll in the Fall semester as a part-time student.

STEM Bridge Program
Summer: STEM Bridge students majoring in Science, Engineering and Computer Science will be required to take STEM coursework (e.g., math, science, or engineering). Your Academic Advisor will determine the appropriate STEM course(s) for you based on your intended major.
Important Requirement: Students who do not complete their Summer STEM coursework with a “C” or better will be required to change their major to something outside of Science, Engineering, or Computer Science. Students must also earn a 2.0 GPA or better to continue to the Fall.
Fall: STEM Bridge students majoring in Science, Engineering and Computer Science will be required to take STEM coursework (e.g., math, science, or engineering). Your Academic Advisor will determine the appropriate STEM course(s) for you based on your intended major. Per your Admission requirements, you can take up to 11 credits.
Important Requirement: Students who do not complete their Fall STEM coursework with a “C” or better will be required to change their major to something outside of Science, Engineering, or Computer Science.
