Dr. Alan Kunz-Lomelin is an Assistant Professor with a distinguished academic and professional background. Dr. Kunz-Lomelin is a Mexican immigrant who holds a PhD in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington, along with a MSW and an MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Additionally, He holds a BA in psychology.
Dr. Kunz-Lomelin’s research interests are technological innovations, artificial intelligence, healthcare, mental health, and network analysis. His work explores the intersection of these fields, aiming to advance knowledge and practice in social work through cutting-edge methodologies and interdisciplinary approaches.
In addition to his research, Dr. Kunz-Lomelin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), who has provided behavioral health services mostly to uninsured or underinsured Hispanic adults in primary care. His teaching interests include research methods, statistical analysis, and direct practice courses, where he integrates his research expertise and commitment to social justice into the educational experience.
