Patricia Temes earned her MSW degree at the FAU Phyllis & Harvey Sandler School of Social Work and her PhD from the FAU College of Education. Her dissertation was titled The Relationship Between Emotional Intelligence and Perceived Stress Among Low Income Brazilian Single Mothers. Dr. Temes is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Qualified Supervisor for the state of Florida. Prior to her current role as a Field Faculty for the FAU Phyllis and Harvey Sandler School of Social Work, Dr. Temes provided mental health and services to children, adults and families in inpatient and outpatient settings. Her experience in healthcare includes treating clients with HIV/AIDS diagnoses in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and mental health patients in inpatient psychiatric facilities. Dr. Temes' interest in international social work has resulted in engagement and development of community events and research in Brazil and teaching the study abroad class in Ireland.
