Marta Blanco Carrasco, PhD, is an “International Visiting Professor” with the Sandler School of Social Work and “Professor of Civil Law” at the Faculty of Social Work, Complutense University of Madrid. Her main field of research is mediation and other alternative dispute resolution systems with various publications in Spanish, such as "Mediación y Sistemas Alternativos de Resolución de Conflictos: Una Visión Jurídica" (Reus, 2009) and English, such as "Is Mediation a Profession? Views of Professionals and Trainers from an International Perspective" (International Social Work, 2022) and "Parenting Coordination: A New Role for Social Workers" (Journal of Social Work, 2022). She was part of the editorial Board of the Cuadernos de Trabajo Social Journal (JCR Q4). She is currently the coordinator of the Conflict Resolution Laboratory (DRlab) at UCM and has also undertaken administrative roles, such as coordinating UCM's summer courses in legal and social areas (2020-2023) and serving as Vice-Dean of International Relations at the Faculty of Social Work, UCM.
