Ricky Langlois is a Senior Instructor and Online Undergraduate Program Degree Coordinator in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida Atlantic University. Mr. Langlois has also been designated as an Online Master Teacher for the College of Social Work and Criminal Justice. He is a retired federal law enforcement officer whose career as a special agent spanned 25 years before joining FAU.
Mr. Langlois is also a certified federal law enforcement Instructor with the Department of Homeland Security where he taught firearms training, air, land, and sea undercover operations and developing informants. His involvement in multiple local, state and federal task forces working as a Special Deputy U.S. Marshal with the National Enforcement Investigations Center, Special Agent with the USEPA’s Criminal Investigation Division and as a Blue Lightning Strike Force Dive Team Coordinator with the Department of Homeland Security gives him the unique experience in order to teach in areas involving high profile white collar and organized crime, terrorism, homeland security, drug interdiction and other Title 18 crimes.
Additionally, Mr. Langlois’ experiences give him a unique perspective as a practitioner to teach the practical applications of law enforcement techniques and procedures. Ricky teaches courses in Criminal Justice Management, White Collar Crime, Terrorism, Environmental Crime, Criminological Theory, Homeland Security and Policing.
